Thoughts on Bon Iver’s latest
Oh, the feelings that music can evoke. I’ve been listening to Bon Iver’s latest album (self titled) on repeat all day. It’s masterful. It’s visceral, it’s tragic, it’s beautiful, it’s a work of love and passion and poetry. It’s what I long for in the people I love, and will love. The phrases seem to encompass entire cycles of life, and in particular, those periods when a haze of confusion and pain and apathy form a cloud over the brilliant souls that we are. Here’s a taste.
